A Walking Tour Of Sydney
As I reflect on my previous post I realise that some spontaneity can make for a fulfilling, active day. Certainly, I have learnt that Sydney is a place that takes some time to get about; exploration of the bustling capital is key. Fed up with public transport? Buses late, delayed, full at peak hour?
Walk. That’s my best answer. Take the time to absorb the culture that Sydney has to offer. Notice the suits rushing around, never actually going anywhere. It makes me wonder whether anyone actually works in the CBD as I have seen many a well dressed person walk by. I feel out of place as a busy gentleman rushes by in a Ralph Lauren business shirt.
This lead to a window shopping expedition at David Jones, basking in the glory of male high fashion, if such a thing exists. Several floors of opulence awaited me, it was difficult to take in all at once. The value of the clothing was astronomical, $150 for a shirt!
The lesson here is, take a walking tour of Sydney! Find your own section of paradise, mine is admiring the retail development, what’s your’s?
